About Us

Coruscant Ltd. was incorporated in May 1999 by a Software Engineer with many years industry experience who wanted to go freelance.
We have since grown into a small yet successful software house.

We mainly specialise in the design and implementation of bespoke systems, working closely with our clients throughout the entire project life-cycle, which is outlined in more detail here.
However, we do not confine ourselves to just bespoke systems for other people; we also have a number of off-the-shelf software packages available.

We derive our name from what was, at the time, an obscure reference to the Timonthy Zahn Star Wars novel "Heir To the Empire".
A few months later the film "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" was released which mentions Coruscant far more explicitly, making our company name unfortunately a far less subtle Star Wars reference.
