We worked closely with the mathematicians and engineers at Thales Research (formerly Racal Research) to help implement GNSS-2 Signal Validation, part Galileo; the next generation of satellite navigation and positioning systems (to replace GPS).
We worked mainly on implementing satellite motion simulation algorithms in C++ making good use of the C++ standard library and STL. These algorithms had been developed by mathematicians using MatLab, so we gained a familiarity with interpreting and working with MatLab.
This was our first big contract where we weren't allowed to use MFC and paved the way for weaning ourselves off this library and on to the Standard Library (STL).
